Evergreen Weekly for January 29th
Dear Evergreen Families,
The student art entries for this year’s yearbook cover contest showcased a remarkable array of creativity and talent, as well as school pride. Students voted as a class to submit one entry per homeroom. Each cover tells a unique story, reflecting the diverse interests and perspectives of our students. These entries not only celebrate the artistic talents of our students but also the spirit of our school community.
Please see the entries below. All students voted this week and the winner will be announced on Monday.

February is Black History Month: Every February, people across Canada participate in Black History Month events and festivities that honour the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. The theme for Black History Month 2024 is Black Excellence: A Heritage to Celebrate; a Future to Build. It provides a valuable opportunity to educate about the rich history, achievements and contributions of black individuals. It is also an opportunity to introduce students to diverse perspectives, foster cultural understanding, empathy, and a sense of inclusivity.
Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday!
