Dear Evergreen Families,

During this time, it is important to take to a moment to reflect and give thanks for the many blessings bestowed upon us.  Whether you are celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanza, Yule (Winter Solstice), Las Posadas, different cultural practices or no cultural practices, we would like to wish you happy holidays and let you know that you are in our thoughts during this holiday season.

Please see below for some highlights from our Winter Spirit Week.

We were overwhelmed by the Evergreen School Community’s generosity and will be sending 625 boxes of cereal to the foodbank this holiday season.

Battle of the Breakfast Cereal

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire Evergreen School Community for your support and commitment to the work of the school and our students. We have so much to be grateful for!  We also feel especially spoiled by our School Council  - organizing hot chocolate, candy canes and popcorn for our students and rallying the community into a baking frenzy so that staff went home with boxes of delicious homemade goodies over the break.

On that note, please take time over the winter break to go for a walk around the school for our Winter Art Walk.  Student art is displayed on classroom windows to share our appreciation.

We hope that this brightens yours and our Evergreen Community’s winter break.

Whatever is beautiful. Whatever is meaningful. Whatever brings you happiness. May it be yours this holiday season and throughout the coming year.

See you on Monday, January 6th, 2025.

Sincerely,

Angela McPhee
