Dear Evergreen Families,
A huge thank you to our School Council for hosting an unforgettable Nightmare Before Christmas themed dance! Students and families showed up in truly amazing costumes - creative, spooky, and everything in between. We’re so grateful to all the volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly and ensured everyone had a fantastic time.
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!
UPDATES AND INFORMATION
Communication: Your child’s teacher is the first point of contact regarding any questions or concerns you have with respect to their learning and well-being. E-mail is the best way to get in touch with your child’s teacher, however, teachers are not regularly checking their e-mail during the school day as they are teaching and working with students. They will respond to e-mails before and after the school day. If there is time sensitive information, please call the school office (403) 777-6288 to get this information to your child’s teacher. Please be mindful that during the evening, teachers are taking care of their own families and e-mails sent after 4:30pm may not be seen until the following workday. Likewise, weekends are personal time and meant for relaxing and recharging; we want our teachers to maintain a healthy work-life balance. E-mails sent over the weekend may not be seen until Monday. You should receive a response from your child’s teacher within two working days.

- In the pop-up window, you will choose your child (you have the option to enter the student's name), the name of the parent / guardian is pre-filled, but can also be changed.
Book Fair: Get ready - the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. Every purchase benefits our school!

- November 27th - 3:30pm-7:30pm
- November 28th – 8am-12pm
Student purchasing:
- December 1st-5th during your child’s regular Learning Commons time.
Please note that visa and debit will be accepted when open to the public, but students will need to bring cash for their class buying time.
Volunteer Opportunities:
We are still in need of volunteers for the Book Fair. We need these slots to be filled in order for us to be open to the public! Please click the link below.
We need several volunteers to help organize students for photo retakes. If interested, please click the link below to sign up.
Volunteers are needed to sort and deliver orders to classrooms. All are welcome, you do not need to have completed your clearance to volunteer for these positions. Please consider supporting this Parent Council fundraising initiative enjoyed by our students.
Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday.
Sincerely,
Angela, Kim and the Evergreen Staff
