Dear Evergreen Families,
We hope all of our Evergreen families had a wonderful and restful March Break! As we return to school, we are excited to welcome students back and look forward to the energy and enthusiasm they bring to our classrooms each day. The spring months are always a busy and exciting time at school, with many learning opportunities, activities, and events ahead. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help every student learn and grow. Welcome back, everyone!
UPDATES AND INFORMATION
Calling all siblings of Evergreen Students – Kindergarten Aged: We have begun the planning phase for the 2026-2027 school year. Having accurate student numbers is critical in terms of staffing and planning. Student numbers help us determine how many classes, teachers and AM/PM offerings we will have for Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. Our school budget, which includes staffing, is submitted by the end of April for the following school year.
This is where we need your help! If you have not yet registered for Kindergarten but are planning to send your child to Evergreen for the 2026-2027 school year, we would truly appreciate if you sent us a quick reply to let us know.
Formal registration is now being done online through SchoolEngage. Information about this process is on the Registration page of the CBE website.
Warm and wet outdoor conditions: As we welcome warmer spring weather, we are also experiencing wet and muddy conditions on the school grounds. Students are encouraged to dress for the weather so they can stay comfortable and enjoy outdoor learning and play. Waterproof jackets, rain boots, and extra socks or clothing are helpful on rainy and wet days, as puddles and soft ground are common during this time of year. Being prepared helps ensure students stay dry, warm, and ready to learn!
Marshal Springs School Invite: MSS School Council is also proud to present an engagement session called "Mirror Mirror" featuring Alison Springer on April 16, 2026 at 6:30pm @ MSS. Food trucks will be available outside MSS starting at 5:00pm.
"Mirror Mirror is an entertaining presentation with a powerful message that inspires students to lead by embracing who they are and how they were made. Alison helps students expose the ‘lying mirrors’ in their lives and the three causes that distort how they view themselves (media, comparison and things that people say). Students will learn positive and helpful ways to protect their dignity and the dignity of others. Alison shares some of the struggles she faced being black, tall and loud, along with her academic struggles. Students will realize that their strengths and weaknesses serve a specific purpose." - https://youthspeakers.ca/speaker/alison-springer/
This is a free event for MSS community members, their families, and their children. Food trucks are an additional cost. If you plan on attending, please RSVP HERE.
Have a wonderful rest of your Sunday!
