Dear Evergreen Families,

Happy New Year and welcome to 2026! We hope you were able to spend a restful break with those you love and are feeling refreshed and healthy as we start back to school.

The year ahead promises to be filled with new experiences, learning opportunities  and growth.  We’re excited to be welcoming the ELEV8 Classroom Lacrosse® program to our school in April. This engaging, hands-on program introduces students to the sport of lacrosse while also teaching them about its deep Indigenous roots and origins in Canada and North America. Lessons are led by ELEV8® professional coaches, including National Lacrosse League players, who guide students through age-appropriate activities and instruction.  Beyond learning the basics of lacrosse, students will build important life skills such as teamwork, cooperation, integrity, and confidence, while also developing fundamental movement and physical skills that transfer to many other sports.  In May, students will get ready to take the stage! Quest Theatre will be joining us for an exciting residency that brings out the inner actor, storyteller, and creator in every student. With the help of inspiring artists, students will use their own ideas to build a one-of-a-kind performance that the whole school will share by the end of the residency.

We are thankful to our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and the Evergreen School Council for sponsoring these residencies and so many other wonderful opportunities for our students.
