Kindergarten has been buzzing with creativity and storytelling as students dive into the magical world of Fairy Tales! Their current focus has been on helping young readers develop the important skill of retelling stories by identifying the beginning, middle, and end. Using the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs, students practiced retelling the story to a partner, using 1, 2, and 3 fingers to help sequence key events. They also explored sequencing words such as “First,” “Then,” “Next,” and “Last” to support their oral storytelling and writing. A highlight was their STEM challenge: Can you build a strong house that the Wolf cannot blow down? - a hands-on activity that combined creativity, problem-solving, and lots of fun!
