Students were filled with spooky excitement this past week as they created their Halloween themed doors for the second annual Halloween Door Decorating Contest. Teachers worked with students around themes and students brainstormed their ideas, got creative and collaborated with classmates to design their classroom doors. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to voice their thoughts on what Halloween means to them and how it relates to our learning experiences. A number of doors were connected to things students have been learning in class from skip counting spiders, measurement brooms, phases of the moon, alliterative phrases, the art of Yayoi Kusama and much more.
