There was lots of exciting buddy learning happening throughout the school this past week! Our Grade 4 students partnered with their Grade 2 buddies to explore the fascinating world of painted lady butterflies. Together, they researched life cycles, body parts, and interesting facts, supporting one another in developing research and comprehension skills. Meanwhile, Grade 5 students teamed up with their Grade 1 buddies to code Ozobots through 3D communities they had built—a hands-on way to combine technology and collaboration. They also enjoyed some fun and active time outside playing four square together.
Buddy activities like these help foster meaningful connections between our students across grades. They provide leadership opportunities for older students and create a sense of belonging for younger ones contributing to an inclusive, caring, and connected school community.
Sincerely,
